In January 2021, Thirtyone:eight commissioned the University of Chester to conduct a piece of research into how COVID-19 and the various restrictions have impacted upon safeguarding in Christian faith settings.

In this roundtable event, we'll be joined by a panel of special guests as we unpack some of the key findings from the research and what they may mean for safeguarding during this period of post COVID recovery and beyond.

During this event we'll be exploring three key themes and insights highlighted in the research:

  • The impact of the pandemic on mental health and how this interrelates with safeguarding as we emerge from the pandemic.
  • Hidden people – hidden harm and how we might prepare and equip ourselves to deal with a potential increase in disclosures or concerns about harm and abuse as people reconnect
  • Navigating the longer-term implications of safeguarding in the hybrid church and equipping those with safeguarding responsibilities to create safer places online as well as offline.

Places are limited so be sure to register your place today. We hope you can join us.
