Thirtyone:eight is delighted to be one of the shortlisted nominees in the 2019 Memcom membership excellence awards. Now in their 20th year, these prestigious awards seek to recognise the innovation, creativity and hard work being done by membership organisations like ours, and to celebrate and showcase all the important ways that these organisations are contributing to charities and society at large.
Memcom exists to connect senior leaders from professional associations, trade associations, membership organisations and the wider non-profit sector to collaborate, to harness best practice and to celebrate success.
Thirtyone:eight has been shortlisted for ‘best public awareness campaign or advancement of a cause’ for our recent relaunch and awareness raising of safeguarding through our creating safer places campaign.
This award category recognises the role played by professional associations and charities in social campaigning, encouraging social mobility and the advancement of causes for the public good. Judges look to be impressed not just by the campaign itself, but by its impact and effectiveness in facilitating change.
Justin Humphreys, CEO at thirtyone:eight said about the nomination, “We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for this award, especially as it is judged by people within the charity and membership sector itself. We are consistently striving to ensure all our services are of the highest quality whilst remaining affordably priced and accessible to all. At thirtyone:eight we value the trust our member organisations place in us to serve them in this way.”
“Membership to us means more than just access to services, but is about building strong, beneficial, lasting relationships, and a community that supports not just the organisations themselves but also seeks to raise the standards in safeguarding across the sector. This recognition by our peers means so much to me and the team, and reflects the hard work and dedication put in by the team on a daily basis to support the creation of safer places for all.”
Winners will be announced on 20th June 2019.
