Policy writing made easy
This practical workshop is available to all member organisations and is for anyone who has the responsibility for writing and developing an effective safeguarding policy that is fit for purpose and meets the standard expected by the charity commission. Government guidance is clear that faith communities must have appropriate safeguarding arrangements in place. Having a policy is the foundation on which all other processes and procedures are based.
The workshop is for up to two people from each organisation and provides lots of helpful hands-on information about how to structure it, what to include and ideas for launching and communicating it. You will leave the workshop having done some of the work and with a clear plan of how to complete the task so that if your insurance company, your trustees or the Charity Commission ask to see your safeguarding policy, you will be confident in having a policy fit for purpose.
Included in the cost of the workshop is a review of your policy (worth £100) if submitted within 3 months of the course.
This workshop has been excellent! The resources both physical and online have been and are excellent and so helpful and valuable. I feel so much more able to write up this policy - Workshop delegate
