Spring Harvest is an annual Christian event attracting 10,000 people of all ages for Bible teaching and worship. They've been a member of Thirtyone:eight for 23 years. We asked their CEO, Phil Loose, what impact the membership has had on their organisation. Here's what he said:
"Our vision is to Gather, Grow, Go; to gather God’s people to worship and pray, to make space for them to grow in their knowledge of the Bible and to send them out in the world, transformed by the Holy Spirit to go and spread the love of Jesus in their communities.
At the heart of our ministry is the trusted and safe environment everybody has come to enjoy at Spring Harvest. This means that children, youth and adults sometimes share safeguarding concerns with our team, without fear of judgement.
Our 23 year partnership with Thirtyone:eight provides us with safeguarding professionals who understand the context of our event and therefore the short window of opportunity we have to address safeguarding situations before our event comes to a close. Their expert training and 24/7 advice help us to navigate safeguarding situations; from concerns raised about a child in our care, to adults who disclose that they are caught in an abusive relationship, and everything in between. Partnering with Thirtyone:eight equips us to help those most at risk of harm to find positive transformation in their lives. This partnership is invaluable and enables our Gather, Grow, Go vision to flourish."
