Portrait of Susan Gordon

Susan Gordon – Trainer

I am trained as a social worker. I worked initially in a Children and Families team, then worked in a Family Centre in a more therapeutic role. I then worked for the voluntary sector, supporting families. Subsequently, I worked for the British Association of Social Workers (BASW) in their Advice and Representation service.

I am a trained counsellor and undertake counselling on a part-time basis.

Alongside delivering training for Thirtyone:eight I currently work part-time for a church organisation where my role is to provide safeguarding training and undertake Parish development work.

I love training because…

Our delegates come from such a wide variety of contexts, it’s a real rich tapestry. Every time I undertake training, I learn something.
