Corrine is a qualified and Social Work England registered Social Worker having completed a Master's at Warwick University. She has previous experience of working in education as a Designated Safeguarding Lead as well as for a Local Authority in a Children in Care team.
Experience
Corrine is passionate about safeguarding children, young people and adults and supporting organisations in prioritising welfare, protecting people from abuse and creating environments where people feel safe. Corrine has worked in education as a Family Support Worker and Designated Safeguarding Lead in inner city Oxford as well as for Local Authority Children’s Services. During this time, she gained experience of supporting families from all walks of life and families who were on Children in Need and Child Protection plans, as well as looked after children and adopted children. Corrine has experience of completing various assessments such as child and family assessments, parenting assessments, early help assessments, risk assessments and safety planning, as well as responding to new and emerging safeguarding concerns.
Prior to training as a Social Worker, Corrine trained and worked as an actor across the UK and was involved with a variety of plays and projects which highlighted areas of social injustice, such a child sexual exploitation. Corrine was an associate artist for a Christian based theatre company in London and collaborated with them on various projects, including pieces of work for a large Christian event. Corrine is an active member of the local church. She has experience of safeguarding young people in faith-based contexts and has over 9 years' experience of leading on youth residential camps.
