Katy Jackson gained a BA(Hons) in History and French and an MA in Social Work from The University of Sheffield. She has a level 3 award in Leadership and Management from the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and is a registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
Katy has a range of experience and has worked in a variety of settings in roles within the statutory and voluntary sector, including the local authority and the voluntary housing sector. Katy has worked in direct practice with children and adults as a social worker and has managed a social work team for the safeguarding and assessment referrals coming into Adult Social Care.
She is currently working for Thirtyone:eight as a Safeguarding Advisor, offering consultancy services to churches and faith charities in relation to safeguarding practice, audits, training and supports the safeguarding helpline.
